STEM Is for Everyone!
This book is a celebration of women in science,
technology, engineering, and mathematics. It
features 12 boundary-breaking innovators who
have a lot in common. They are smart, curious, and
hard-working – and they have disabilities, chronic
illnesses, or neurodivergent brains. Through their
accomplishments and advocacy, they are reshaping
the world to be more diverse and inclusive.
You’ll meet a statistician who is working to
improve people’s health, a mathematician who
uses her skills to help keep oceans healthy, an
astrophysicist who converts complex data into
sound, and an industrial chemist who figured out
how to turn some of the rocks left over from
mining into the main ingredient in
laundry detergent.
